Credit Unions in the Dakotas believe in the importance of financial literacy for all people, especially our young people. That is why credit unions volunteer to go into local schools to teach the basics of money management. During the 2005-2006 school year, credit unions in the Dakotas conducted 115 financial presentations reaching more than 3,000 students.
In addition, credit unions in the Dakotas also celebrate Financial Literacy month in April, National Credit Union Youth Week in April, and Dakotas’ Credit Union Youth Week in August.
